Miami is not paying 10 mil to buy Mario out and anyone who thinks they are is fs. Would they wait 30 days until the end of January and it goes down? I don't see it. It's not like your waiting for Dabo, Saban, Urban, etc.

It does have to be crossing Mario's mind about agreeing to the 10 million buyout though. No way he could have seen Richt bailing on Miami this year, but he's had to think about "what if" this morning.

Could Jimmy Lake be in play? His buyout is only 1.6 million which Miami could/would swallow if they wanted him.

If it’s not Mario, I think venables is the hire. No one they hire can win the acc over Clemson unless Clemson gets weakened externally. Take their DC and potentially you kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

That's a great idea. Venables is making 2.2 per season to be the DC which is great scratch to be the man behind the man.
