Mullen, Davis and Schiano were finalists for the jerb. Mullen would have been good obviously; he ain't leaving Floriduh now. Schiano is a retread and underwhelming corch. Davis ... just don't know about that. Part II is seldom a good thing.

Give Diaz a go. If you'd go with someone who's had 5 minutes of HC experience, the hot coordinator isn't a big stretch.

If it’s not Mario, I think venables is the hire. No one they hire can win the acc over Clemson unless Clemson gets weakened externally. Take their DC and potentially you kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
