Mark Cuban IRYK

Love how all the usual race baiters are jumping on him.

He's right though in his walking the street at night scenario.

He was actually getting on racist but people are too lazy to listen to whole interview.

Only folks in this country that were crossing the street because they were intimidated were blacks when they saw whites. #segregation

Only dreaded hood wearers in this country are Skinheads. #Cuban

Hey @markcuban, what's wrong w/a black guy wearing a hoodie at night? #confused #stereotype

Sorry sven and Damone but gotta steal both your sayings.

CHRIST!

I hate people

Jalen Rose is a racist.

On a fab 5 documentary he called Grant Hill an Uncle Tom for simply living in a two parent household in an interracial couple.

How does he still have a job on a network TV after that?!! Are you kidding me?!

Black people can't be racist. Duh.

This shit never disappoints.

What I love about Cuban is that he's not afraid to take on the uncomfortable or elephant in the room.

Everybody is busy twisting (hi Kim) what he is saying into a race discussion.

The bigger point that Cuban was making with his crossing the street analogy is that 1) stereotypes exist, 2) they are generally earned, and 3) being safe and avoiding potential confrontation is smart business.

Not to bring this back to the Martin case (although I saw that Cuban had to issue an apology to him), but there's an important point to continue making about the young African American kid wearing a hoodie in the dark. It's not that people are afraid of an African American kid wearing a hoodie in the dark because he's black. People are afraid because that's a very popular wardrobe choice by gang members (who happen to be African Americans). And, as Cuban pointed out, it's far smarter to get out of the way and assume the worst and be wrong about that than to give the benefit of the doubt and be (dead) wrong. The hate is then swung on people like Cuban who are just flat out being smart. Instead, the hate should be spread on the people commit the crimes, earning the stereotype, and impacting the freedoms of others.

I was skewered on Unleashed for saying my butt puckers when an A-Rab gets on one of my flights.

Fuck'em.

Those fuckers love blowing up planes. I'll stereotype as such until they stop blowing up said planes.

Not really.

According to the TSA Agent who protects me ... they are still trying.
