Marjon Beauchamp

Why is everyone so sensitive about Beauchamp here? I don't get it.

He's a good basketball player with some noticeable weaknesses. He's not a 5 star.

That's not really all that controversial in my eyes.

Please see every single lemming rant about stockpiling talent... I lemm with this one.

Also, the glory days of udub hoops were built on the amazing run of local talent. I know it's surprising but a lot of people on here are old AF and think that if things were just that way again, all would be right in the world that is our UW.

Also, probably why there's even more hand-ringing at signing the local guys in FB the next 2-3 yrs and beyond.

If any coach was $paying kids, it was romar. He was getting top end talent without sniffing the NCAA Tourney and yet still pulling in top end talent with what argument? Um, we haven't sniffed a tourney in half a decade but you alone will make us a f4 team??? Hop's team is currently undefeated in league(albeit a shitty one), but the writing is on the wall that his program is on its way up rather than the other direction. At least I can see the selling point.

Another fun secret for all. Just about all 5* top end guys get some sort of $. Let's stop being choirs boys and put on our big boy pants. Whether they get paid or not, who fucking cares. They should get paid. We just may have a coach who can put the players who get here into some sort of successful situation.

Another side note, Seattle basketball has some talent again. Most of the guys are coming from our backyard. We should be getting a good % of these guys

Word on the street always was that Romar cheated in his early years at UW, went clean in the mid years, and started cheating again in his last 3-4 years. Allegedly.

Marjon should have just gone home and played for Davis. They probably would have had some decent teams as well. These kids (parents).
 
This basically confirms the rumors earlier that he might have some difficulty getting eligible. This is a move to get his grades taken care of, he's still coming to UW.
