Mariners Baby!

While I'm on the Ms, I read an article (usa today iirc) about Winker last night and how he retooled his stance and footwork during his time off. He went back to the stance and toe tap that he used in 2021, when he was one of the league's best hitters for 110 games.

So my question is...is Winker a retard? I used to fuck with things that were already working for me too It didn't get me very far. Jesus dude.

It’s the hardest thing for a lotta guys, they try to make good into great, and it makes them worse…I used that mindset for about 20 years on the golf course, finally figured it out (?) hopefully…always a work in progress…
 
Moore, Santana, Raleigh, Castillo and the pen guys performing in July, keeping this run going is huge for me. Stack ‘em up while you’re hot, and it lessens the effect of the dip that inevitably is approaching…

A dip in pitching seems imminent. Maybe they can head it off to an extent with a good trade though.
 
Absolutely. He's the kind of guy who lifts everyone. The face of the club and really the leader too already even if he's not trying to lead. It's amazing when a hyped prospect pans out, let alone exceeds expectations. It's fun.

One game series are gone starting this year. Now best of 3 with 3 wild card teams getting in (and worst division winner). Other two division winners get a bye

I read today that the Mariners only have 18 games out of 75 (I think) against teams with a record over .500. They should make the playoffs.

They should also sell the farm to get Soto, but I realize that will be tough. Marte, Kelenic, Hancock, Ford, and Brash (only guy I hate giving up), whoever else. Trade them. You have Soto for potentially 3 pennant races and you can always trade him after next season to replenish the system.

Talked to a few dedicated Mariners fans this weekend and they just kept talking about how the Astros are cheaters. And that Altuve is a little 5'6 shit rat (so basically he's Houston's Brad Marchand who wouldn't want a guy like that on your team).

3 world series. Probably top 2 mlb franchise the last half a decade+.
