Pappadeaux is definitely good, but if you get closer to downtown Dallas, definitely check out Truluck's.
 
I stopped over in DFW on the way back from Mexico once. Never seen grown men in cowboy hats with smartphones. It was like being in some sick modernized Western reboot. Got stuck in front of 2 crying kids on the flight back.

The Pappas family knows how to run a restaurant. Pappas Bros. steak house in Houston is upper tier elite. Plus it is only two blocks from Treasures.
 
Never made it to Pappadeaux last night ... last minute meeting with my Dad at Torchy's Tacos ... not a bad consolation prize.

Pappasitos is pretty good, as is Pappas Burgers. But Pappas Bros. steak house is off the charts. Though it is best on an expense account, because the prices are too.

That, the green chile pork, and the brushfire are my go to tacos there ... and the chips and queso of course.

Pappas bros. is the best steak house in dallas, anyone that disagrees can meet me at whataburger on NW HWY in university park
