I feel like Larry Scott's entire vision was around owning all the content and moving into streaming because more people have cell phones than cable.
Maybe it was bad luck with SC taking a shit and chipster/Harbaugh not getting over the hump, but a big part of the demise of the PAC happened by putting ourselves on an island.
It backfired bigly. ESPN had no reason to hype us, half the sports bars didn't carry it (no directtv!), and the stars left more and more.
Whatever happens, it needs to be integrated with what everyone else is doing or we'll just be playing in a shadow.
