In a vacuum I agree. Not sure I can squint with Fisch at the moment but you definitely need to see progress through the rest of the year. He already had a gimme year last year and he has his guys in here

Fisch at the moment feels like one of the many guys who cycled through the pac-10/12 who were fine but not good enough to ever reach the top and the hopes of the program for the next 2.5 seasons are pinned on a 5’9 QB fresh off throwing unforced ints LBs who look and have names like they’re from Sedro-Woolley

It’s a new era. You’re allowed to bring your entire team with you or just buy a new one. Year 1 can be a wash, depending on the situation. Prove it by year 2 or you’re not the guy. Fisch isn’t the guy.
Kind of but also Woolley has turned into a power program and whenever I check who their best players are it’s always a guy with a kind of modern rustic chic name like Cole then a common last name but one you don’t see as much anymore or no one had aT Woolley when I was there like Sullivan.

All the old rules are basically out the window now, as anyone good/great can and should turn things pretty dramatically within 2 years, assuming they're at a place that's reasonably attractive and well resourced (both of which apply to UW).
The Harbaugh example up above … he would have turned Michigan WAY faster if done now.
I find him to be pretty kooky, but a coach I would take any day, and all day, above Fisch.

Fisch needed to bring all his Arizona players last year including Fifita and McMillan and especially the OL. The first red flag was him bringing about 10% even then we are probably 9-3 or 10-2 at best and similar this year.
