LIV vs PGA game thread

How long will the Saudis continue to fund LIV if nobody cares about it and it loses massive amounts of money every year? Seems like the PGA exodus has stemmed with some of the changes that were made.
I'm not old enough to remember the USFL / NFL stuff, but it seems like this is headed that direction.

I think that is what the PGA is realizing and is hoping to use as leverage. Just because the Saudis can lose billions doesn't mean they want to. Apparently the Prince likes team golf. Nobody else does as far as I can tell.
As one of the articles states - LIV really only has a couple of valuable guys. The rest are out of sight and out of mind

100 to 1
Can't spin that. The Players had a lackluster leaderboard and LIV is on FOX now

Let me flesh this out a bit
LIV chose to go against the Players, not Valspar. LIV really needs some leverage now in negotiations. This was a change of strategy.
I would rather watch Bryson and Brooks than Rory and JJ Spaun but not if I have to watch the clown show that LIV is. Rory actually boosted the Players rating over last year's Scottie win
The Tour is realizing that
They aren't losing more stars
The stars they lost may want to come back
They have the best platform and the best tournaments
And that tradition matters in golf
There are several more weeks upcoming where LIV will go head to head. We'll see

I am not saying LIV is good, I think there are some aspects of it that are good. I like the idea of melding the 2 together…IE 10 Signature Events including the 5 majors, and then have some LIV vs PGA Ryder cup Style super bowl shit after every season would be great. So we'd get to see the best in the sport 11 times in one year playing together again.

Obviously some PGA players like the LIV atmosphere because they tried to recreate it with the TGL bs.

For me, watching three majors and four regular tournaments per year is a lot, so very casual fan here.

The whole thing seems stupid, but America first. Liv should die.

Brooks Koepka wishes LIV Golf was 'further along,' as CEO says Tour deal not a must
Big week for LIV. Back in America at a well known venue on United States time for a TV window on FOX. With the President in attendance
The PGA Tour is at a week before a major venue with a reduced field of names. The star power is at Doral this week
Because it's my job I will try to watch some LIV and see if I can make any sense of the format or see anyone I want to see
LIV needs ratings this week

LIV Golf Draws Highest U.S. TV Rating but Still Far Behind PGA Tour in Week Before Masters
I tried but just not a fan of the format. I don't like the shot gun start for television. I'm old and set in my ways so maybe the kids like it or will grow to
Definitely a better field but didn't keep my interest. Graphics are too busy as well IMO
I watched the last hour of the tournament. I didn’t realize they do a shotgun. That is retarded. It’s not a charity scramble, it’s professional golf. Allegedly. I was really confused by the graphics showing how many holes guys had left, but that makes sense now. The graphics are way too busy like you said, and I don’t like that they’re up at all times. It’s distracting. That was the first time I’ve watched more than highlights of LIV, and it comes across as the minor league baseball version of golf. I was waiting for a mascot race around the 18th green.
