Please post below your admiration for a man who was unfairly treated by the awful Rick Neuheisel, but preserved under the tutelage of our own Coach K at Montana State and played with our Kane Iaone.

Then against all odds made it to the NFL despite Neu trying to ruin his career and following that came back to take a moribund program under his wing and give selflessly to his hometown.

Speaking as someone who is totally ignorant of Washington high school sports, I can't name another coach high school football coach better than Joey Thomas.
 
I was at 7-11 once and was short 35 cents for a medium Slurpee.

Not only did he comp me the 35 cents ... He swapped his large for my medium and gave me a lift to my girlfriend's place!

What a stand-up dude.

Did I ever tell you about the time Joey Thomas showed up at my daughter’s wedding? You know my daughter, she’s a beautiful girl.
Well, Joey shows up and you know he’s a big fella. Well, he’s standing right between me and my daughter at the ceremony. He’s got no right to be there, but he’s drunk and he’s Joey. Well, long story short, the priest accidentally marries me and Joey. We spent the weekend in the Poconos — he loved me like I’ve never been loved before.

Joey Thomas wears a live rattlesnake as a condom.

He taught me how to love a woman — and how to scold a child.
