If these four things happen Oregon makes the playoff:

1. Prukop stays health. His skill set is much more suited to Oregon's offense than the midget free agent made of glass he is replacing. Freeman and Carrington are in contract years so they are going to dominate. Allen will be back full tilt, Brown is back, Stanford, Merritt, etc. The Ducks will score a fuck ton of points with an able QB, this is just simple fact.

2. The Center gets the fucking ball to Prukop.

3. Hoke fields a defense that is Top 45 in yards-per-play and points-allowed. That's it. No one is asking for dominant. No one is even asking for good. Just be in the top half of college football in those two stats.

4. Beat Stanford. The Ducks will be 8-0 going into November. November is a tough stretch, three road games and the Trees at home. No, UW isn't finishing second in the North this year, it will be Oregon and Stanford like always. A loss on the road to USC or Utah won't be playoff killers if they get Stanford, beat UCLA in the CCG and finish 12-1.

If they lose anywhere in those first eight games TSIO.

Disagree.

I hadn't believed any offseason hype of UW finishing top two of division until now. All but guaranteed. Woo hoo! Top two of the division, BITCHES!!

Mosster, come on man...

That Alamo was embarrassing on many levels. It was the only time in 25 years of following this team, I laughed when they lost. I actually started to root for TCU late in the 3rd quarter when they showed a shot of Pellum on the sideline. I realized then, a loss like that would send him packing. By mid 4th quarter though, I realized after the 47th ground ball snapped by our backup center, that if this coaching staff can't even get our 2nd string center to shot gun snap the ball or go under center, then how can I expect them to actually hire a decent coordinator. I realized, it was over.

I opened up the scotch cabinet, poured a 12 year Glendronach, and watched in cynical laughter, as the final 8 minutes and overtime confirmed my observations.

Oregon football was diagnosed with terminal cancer on January 16th, 2013. It officially died on January 2nd, 2016.

#arrogance?

Have you watched the Pac-12 and a Mike Riley lead Nebraska?

UC Davis- Tune up
Virginia- Well, at least they're good in basketball
Nebraska- Mike Riley
Colorado- Moral victory for the Buffs
WAZZU- Toughest game before November
UW- 13
Cal- Will Dykes still be the coach by then? Doubt it
ASU- 11
USC- Toughest game on the schedule
Stanford- They lost a ton but they're Stanford, they're fucking good
Beavies- Tune up

If Oregon is serious about football there is zero excuse to not be 8-0 going into November.

Let's get this out of the way early:

CatDuckFaggotFS is going to make his annual,"Oregon gets into the playoff at a minimum rather easily unless x, y, or z happens, which it won't" post, act like it's the script, and then ~8 months later it won't happen.

Then CatDuckFaggotFS will just claim it's a whoosh (it's not) or that he's just a quook (WIW).

Only real variable is whether or not he'll drop his touted,"I'm a life winner and I can't believe Oregon ripped me off with these overpriced season tickets despite the fact that UO has as many fat lesbian druids as UW now and they probably hate football even more."

The only way Oregon is making the playoffs is if Mariota spurns the Titans next year, and the NCAA grants a one-time exception to the player eligibility rule.

Even then, the defense will do everything they can to lose.

Shit Thread, shit poster... However his point about 8-0 makes sense. That is an easy schedule, especially with UW and ASU at Autzen. We all know it depends on the Big Sky QB, but that is a shit schedule.

He's predicting them to win the North after they just showed their depth was incapable of snapping the fucking ball correctly. Oregon still has a decent chance to be good but I'll believe it when I see any team from this turd hole making it into the playoff, especially when Oregon and Stanford lost a lot, the South still sucks, and UW is still UW.
