Charles McClendon .692 137-59-7
>>Min. 25 games coached

Nobody loved the hat more than this guy.

But it was time for him to go.

In 22 games against power 5 conference he was 12-10, that's a 1/3 of his losses.

Top 5 recruiting classes, and more kids in the NFL than any program and he was playing in second tier bowls.

Time to go.

Both are tanned, ready, and rested

Ed Orgeron will go undefeated, sealing his status as the GOAT interim coach.

LSU will not retain him next year.

I think they should give Helton the interim tag to finish the year. He could be available if they make the call.

With any luck Lynn Swann would notice and sign him after they fire Helton.

Les really hasn't done much lately (past couple of years). Still would be a great hire for Oregon or USC though because he is way better than who they currently have.

He will end up in Lee Corso's chair on Gameday next year.

Corso should have been put to pasture three years ago.

Miles not only won a NC he lost one when he had to play Bama three times. LSU was shit before Saban and then Miles drafted for a decade.

There are no slam dunks.

Les Miles is a very overrated coach who consistently squandered top 10 recruiting classes. The only place He could go to have that advantage again would be USC. And if I'm USC, it's thanks but no thanks. He'd be a good fit for Oregon, but their AD won't have neither the balls nor the blessing to go after him.

I got you here.

If Les Miles would keep Oregon's spread offense, and was able to bring in the defensive line recruits he had at LSU, I'd be happy. Problem though, is that he got those recruits because they wanted to be close to home, not because he was Les Miles.

People forget LSU was a door mat in the 1990's until Emmert came to town and saved the program.
