Good band. Like some Led Zeppa.

I think at one time me and @YellowSnow got into it about the best drummer in the world and he advocated for Zepplins drummer when I said can’t beat Neal Peart from Rush.

I still stand by that. Controversial.

Love Neal. Gone too soon.

I have to accept musicians' opinions about Peart because I can't stand listening to Rush. ATBS, Tom Sawyer is their best song thanks to its feature in The Waterboy.

I will roll with the drumming in Dazed and Confused over the Rush song.

I think that too… plus, boring music. Regarding “greatest” drummer, drum is weird in a sense because it in large part depends on how many sonic layers there are in the design of the signiture for the sound of a band. Lots of bands have so big a sound, and so many layers that the drum track is mechanized warfare

From my perspective it’s rare for a percussionist to introduce character and flavor into a song by virtue of character, clarity of sound staging and rhythmic design. Stan Lynch, The drummer for Tom petty and the breakers back in the day was one of the best that way ~ the character of sound was a real musical addition, and the sonic precision and Accoustic room within their sound allowed for a sonic clarity that elevated the drumtrack into another high level musical instrument. Of course it never hurts to have the character and precision of Mike Campbell playing guitar opposite you from a rhythmic standpoint.
