Started Nobody. Temu John Wick.

The fucking montage of the guy constantly not getting his trash can out and missing the garage truck was annoying as shit. It’s a simple enough task but this highly trained killer isn’t capable of doing it nor is he capable of having his teenaged son do it?

The Astronaut on Hulu. Kate Mara, Larry Fishburne. When an astronaut crash-lands back to Earth, a General places her in quarantine for rehabilitation and testing. As disturbing events unfold, she fears that something extraterrestrial has followed her home. It was a 90 minute time killer. It was a decent turd sandwich, but still a turd sandwich.

My wife watched Resort while I just kind of blacked in and out of it this week. From what I can tell it's a terrible White Lotus rip-off. It's also impossible for me to not notice it when Netflix inserts some woke shit into stuff.

Kate Mara is another one who could have skyrocketed with some titties exposed.

There's a show on Apple right now she's in but we're only about two episodes in and no Kate boobies -yet.

Finished this season for the third time, first time in almost 10 years. I might never watch anything else, ever again, other than maybe Entourage.

The Sopranos rewatch has been decent. Still early so some of the characters are still getting their feet under them. AJ and Meadow are just babies and it shows in their acting. It was Little Steven’s first acting gig so he’s still figuring it out.

Am considering doing the Breaking Bad rewatch starting with Better Call Saul up through season 6 episode 9 (I think). Then go into breaking bad, the breaking bad movie and finish with the rest of Saul.

But now you’ve fucked up my schedule and the Throbber might need to squeeze True Detective in there. THE sex scene alone might be worth it (you know which one).

On top of being my favorite thing ever just in general it has maybe the best nude scene you will ever see in anything. One of the only nitpicks I have of the show actually is Woody as a random cop in Louisiana is pulling Alexandra Dadarrio as a sidepiece, is married to Michelle Monaghan and later pulls a very hot young chick.

My fuzzy memory on that was that they were trying to make Woody's character out to be the ex LSU baseball player town hero kind of thing and it wasn't developed enough and then yeah, maybe today Josh Brolin or someone plays that character instead.

No Country for Old Men. Whew.

Watching Office Space for the rest of the flight.

That one never gets “Old”…

Just to throw it out there for some of my “western” watching pods, I love me some Sergio Leone movies. Any of them. He is the best director of all tim. Hey, @YellowSnow, may be another thread in the making…

But just watched again, and any if y’all that haven’t seen it, “Once upon in the West” is an outstanding movie.

Check it out. Don’t question, just watch…

Grosse Point Blank. It came out in 97 and I remember watching it alls a rental within a few years of that. I thought it was good back then. Watching it last night I thought it ok at best. A young Minnie Driver was the best part of it.

Assault on Precinct 13. The John Carpenter version. Had never seen it and it was 90 minutes long. It was gritty and people running in the dark with smoke was Escape From New York-like.

Rewatched Game of Thrones. Started around Xmas.

It's so good. The casting. The acting. All of it up until the last 2 seasons. The 7th season writing was good, but started cutting corners to accelerate the story, e.g., traveling long distances by ship in one episode, the same route that took a season in earlier seasons. We have a map.

The 8th season never could have "won", but they dropped the ball badly with a lazy storyline and an arrogance that any "plot twist" was going to be accepted by the masses like flies on shit.

Instead, they betrayed the 7 season long development of characters for a cheap "gotcha". They ended up fucking their legacy.

Wife dragged me to Project Hail Mary on IMAX because she read the book along with every other 45-60 year old female.

The space scenes were kind of impressive after a 10mg gummy. The story is a kid movie though.

3.5/5

I could never figure out all the fucking character names in Game of Thrones.

Kalisi, John Snow, Geoffrey, Then it was just good guy, bad guy, yes, yes, craves it, good guy, bad guy, bad guy, bad guy.

Yeah, that's why I struggled reading the books. Way too many names, many of them similar and confusing.

Try reading shit like Heat 2 where every other character is a guy named Vinny, just got out of the joint in Chicago and beats dudes with a lead pipe.
