Last Movie Seen

Vinny Chase looks very very depressed. Hollywood and entertainment is totally dead. They could try to do the whole lets make a sequel or reboot thing to a good property which is one of the last cash grabs but not sure that even works.

I've read some articles that makes me think that the Entourage crew was kind of excommunicated from Hollywood as a toxic bro thing, and the failure of the movie (which it's an excellent movie/story ending), gave them the ammo to really kill the IP.

Project Hail Mary. Knew nothing about it except I only kind of thought The Martian was okay to placate the people who my real life who aren't like the ghouls on this site. Actually enjoyed this one.

Yeah the last 3-5 years there's just been a lot of space exploration movies as well as AAA videogames that attack it from different styles and it's just not something I'm into. Feel the same about Dune.

I want to see Undertone but I'm kind of being a pussy and waiting for OnDemand. Might change my mind though

I generally am not a huge fan of the space exploration movies anymore but this one has more whimsy and I'm unapologetically gay for whimsy. The first Dune was a cool-looking slog. I thought the second was good.

I was super excited about Undertone but then it seemed like it's been a big thud since it actually got released.

I thought their whole process with building the ship and sets old school was refreshing and it peaked my interest more than a lot of other movies in the same genre.

I agree that the more I think about Undertone the more I'm envisioning this weird as fuck experience in the theater. Every new horror movie now is "more fucked up than Hereditary" but I just don't buy it, especially for ghost shit.

Stephen Colbert is co-writing the script.

What in the actual fuck?!?!

My wife was watching this Newsmax coverage of the newest Star Trek show that got canceled. It looked so fucking terrible, like it was a MadTV skit.

If they think they can inject woke into these established IP's and just live off the brand they're wrong.

Watched Crazy, Stupid, Love. Funny I remembered it being kind of a romcom but it's not and a lot of the humor is male centric. I'll take on the Ryan Gosling role for any bros here who need help making themselves suave and appealing again.

The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers: Our Brother, Hillel. A decent documentary on the RHCP. Those guys took so many photos of themselves and videos back in the day all the while they complained they had no money. Only complaint was they went from the death of Hillel right into Blood Sugar Sex Magic. Nothing on the recoding of Mother's Milk

I was kind of disappointed when I saw it was just about Hillel and the Hillel years instead of being a bigger doc but I enjoyed it. Kiedis' Scar Tissue book was an amazing read when I was 19. It was getting developed into what could have been an amazing HBO show but that will never happened since he dishes about liking underage chicks in that book. Early-80s Hollywood music scene is super interesting.

Streaming Life a NBC show from 2008 or so with Bobby Axlerod as a wrongly convicted cop who gets free after 12 years in maximum security and becomes a cop again

His ex wife is played by Jennifer Seibold. Also known as the current first Lady of California

Hot ticket back in the day. Wood
