Last Movie Seen

My wife started up "The Way To Heaven From Belfast" or I think it's called that. I could write a wall of words on how cringe it is. One of the most clueless attempts at recreating shit like "Bridesmaids" with Netflix's special gay as fuck touch on it.
It’s no Derry Girls.

Hear me out.

"Mrs" flatus and I saw Hoppers on Sunday. It's an animated movie for kids. It's ridiculous. It's about a teen who wants to protect her grandmother's beaver pond from development so she hijacks Avatar-like tech to embody a robotic beaver. Yes, that silly.

But I laughed out loud more than I can remember.

If you can admit that you have a soul and don't need everything to be edgy and violent, you will like this Pixar film.

The last feature film I've ever laughed out loud at was Super Troopers 2.

Their Canada jokes were up there with Entourage and Silicon Valley.

I don't have a soul.

I don't know that film but I trust it was irreverent and twisted enough to stimulate your sense of humor.

I'll check it out.

After fag scrolling through ~5 streaming platforms I finally decided on the Montreal Expos documentary on Netflix last night.

Like a lot of documentaries now they have about a 30 minute story they fit into an hour and 20 minutes. Just to say that Montreal is too poor to have a team without screwing the taxpayers over. The two American owner/president combo that came in, they kind of downplayed how everything those guys tried failed.

The Love Witch. Damn this was a gem from 2016 that's extremely hard to even pin to a genre.

Billed as horror but it's a 1970's technicolor styled movie with probably the hottest actress I've seen in a long, long time. Samantha Robinson.

Kind of like Under The Skin where Scarlett Jo was going around as an alien luring and killing men, except this story is a mostly comedic take on that premise where a witch fucks dudes brains out and then gives them poison. It is definitely a vibe and really unique, Beau is Afraid mixed with Enchanted Forest. Total gem and deserves the praise it got online.

Watched Twisted Yoga on AppleTV. a three part documentary on stupid women who are into yoga and of course they have sex with the main Romanian yoga guru guy! And the yoga guru guy makes them live in a run down house in Paris and in Denmark and they webcam to make money.

Are we for or against having yoga sex with stupid women?

That was an adequate documentary. It was annoying because of the English dub over mostly French speaking fags.

Expos circa early 80s were a fun team. Throbber actually had an Expos hat when hat. Carter, Cromartie, Dawson, Raines. Good club.

The only thing I thought was interesting about the movie is that you could tell that the short president guy was trying to majorly talk around the fact that he had no fucking clue how to operate that business in Quebec like that.

The Blazers did something similar when they hired a president from the MLS in SoCal that started alienating the local fans with decisions on TV distribution and radio personnel, etc.

I am all for it. Except one of the women was a 15yo virgin who got “initiated” by the guru. One of the women was totally into it and you can tell she misses it. One Australian woman said no way and bailed.

Nothing really on, so we subscribed to Hulu, because I need two more fucking streaming platforms (Gotta have Disney+ so that our sons can watch lgbtqe+ stars wars lore!!!) apparently.

So started the scrubs reboot. The older doctor really just dips after the first episode?

Jesus, kinda feels like without him and his batshit "wife" on the show that it shouldn't have been greenlit. JD is one of my most hated fictional characters on any show ever.

Scrubs was pretty cool for one, maybe two seasons at the start. They leaned into the schtick of each character way too hard and it got old and repetitive in a hurry.

Dr Cox (and wife) and the janitor were the standouts for me. I don't see us giving the reboot a chance.

Jordan will be in the last episode.
