Last Movie Seen

The new Lincoln Lawyer season is decent. The prosecuting attorney is the hot ex-gf of Ari Gold's. She's obviously older now but still wood, even with the retarded hairstyle and glasses.

HBO sucks so badly now that I'd rather just watch Atomic Blond than take a chance on any of their other shit I haven't seen before.

HBO was the gold standard and then they weren't. Sad
The Pitt is the best show on TV right now. But then it’s a huge drop off to anything else decent. Not gonna watch two dudes cross their hockey sticks. Not gonna do it.

The new GOT prequel might be decent but only one episode in.

Disagree - Sopranos > The Wire.

HBO Dramas really came around in 1997 with OZ. Then the hits started rolling out. Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire. Then a few years after that came Deadwood, Rome Big Love. Then a few Years later we got True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, and GoT. Lately, the drama department has been lagging Succession was great. I watch Industry as it is decent and I do watch all of the GoT spinoffs as well. We used to have it soooo good!

But the new dramas they have been cranking out aren't making the splash that the previous shows did. The Guilded Age. While I am sure it is good, just never watched it. Last of Us got really retarded. And the dramas they do put out only last one season and they are cancelled or the time between makes one lose interest. White Lotus. Vinyl. The Idol. Euphoria is only 3 seasons.

HBO Comedy has been fairly consistent since the early 90's. Larry Sanders. Dream On. 1st and 10. Curb. Eastbound and Down. Gemstones.

I liked Guilded age but haven't seen it recently. B1G Carry Coon fan.

Tried the GOT show. No.

Tried I Love LA. I don't love LA and Gen Z girl humor is not humorous.

The Traitors and Lincoln Lawyer have been decent enough. Well, my wife likes the traitors and I mainly just like that Scottish backdrop/castle.

Surprised that J? has lasted as long as he has on that show.

Industry has gotten a little too far out there for Mrs. Throbber v2.0. First 3 seasons were great. Need more Eric. Admittedly a couple episodes behind so maybe it rights itself.

Watching Little Sally Draper get railed wasn't on my bingo card.

Ari Gold would like a word regarding your comedy list, too.

I've seen three episodes of the new GOT prequel. It's not horrible but I'm still waiting for something to make me give a fuck about it. Last night I saw there was an episode 4, but instead of watching it I turned on season 1 of GOT and then fell asleep.

Death of a Unicorn. Paull Rudd/Jenna Ortega in an A24 film about them running over a unicorn. It took a "Sorry to Bother You" turn but was entertaining.

A24 has completely dropped off for me. Stopped looking for the next Hereditary a long time ago.

Neon, etc are making much better independent style horrors lately.

Started Mulholland Falls late last night just to have something on while working and have about 35 minutes left. First thing that looked decent on Prime.

Think this movie is famous for Jennifer Connelly. They need to make more LA Noire movies. I think I've already made a post like this a few times on this thread. Time is a flat circle.

Watched Zodiac for the third time. Still not tired of it. Pretty great David Fincher dynasty between Se7en and Gone Girl.

And The Killer.

There are articles up from just a few years ago about how Zodiac is up there with the Silence of the Lambs.

Damn. Now I have to watch it tonight. Fucking Jake G also did Prisoners.

Someone tell me if the new Damon/Affleck police thriller is any good. I don't trust Netflix, their last good movie was The Killer and that felt years ago.
I haven't subscribed to Netflix for over two years. But "Always Be My Maybe" was a really funny movie.
