Last Movie Seen

I recently watched one battle after another because everybody wouldn’t stop talking about it

I enjoyed it, but I do not understand why it was getting hyped so much.

That seems to just be how things are now.

Every time people tell me “you have to see this” I’m always pretty skeptical now.
The worst thing anyone who’s trying to convince me of something can tell me is “you have to do this”

28 Weeks Later. Hadn't seen it in a while and couldn't sleep. Still cannot get over Begbie from Trainspotting was a semi smart zombie tracking own his kids. Plus the kids were ultra stupid.

Watched Miracle for the first time last night. Disappointed I haven’t watched it sooner. Followed it up by watching the ESPN 30 for 30 on the commie team our boys beat.

Just finished season 2 of White Lotus. Season one was pretty good, but nothing special. Season 2 was much better. I hear season 3 is the best. Good writing and I’m glad to be watching it.

Btw expect a coug or two to wear that asshole's armor/insignia to the apple cup this year. Or maybe our dumb ass fans will, but it's coming.

Every couple of years we run through all of entourage, skipping a few shitty episodes that are trying to be more dramatic, and ending with the movie.

To your point, you'd have to end this country for Ari Gold's character to not be relevant.

My favorite part of Entourage was when they were trying to get Medellin funded. That string of episodes was 🪙

Would watch this in a heartbeat.

Started True Detective season 1 last night mostly thanks to this thread. Binge watched 4 episodes despite us having a 2 episode rule for longer shows.

Fucking incredible so far. There are at least 2 McConaughey gifs that come from this show that I’ve seen probably hundreds of times yet didn’t know where they came from. That knowledge alone is worth watching.

True Dick v1.0 was awesome. Even without Alexandra Daddarios perfect chest.

It goes downhill fast after Season 1. Like unwatchable shit.

It's one of the best movies ever made. That's why people hate the other seasons. They're just TV show seasons.

McConaughey went from a fag that just did rom coms and bongos and weed to doing this masterpiece and Lincoln Lawyer, one of the most re-watchable procedurals ever made. Indiana like explosion. He seemed to have a lot of hate in his life for Hollywood and these two films are the result.

I haven't watched Interstellar but I've heard that it deserves to be it the group with these two films.

I watched Interstellar on my phone in a flight. That was an incredible movie.

Interstellar is a trip. I'd like to try it drunk sometime. Great movie.

I always put True Detective season 1 as one of my favorite pieces of art or media across mediums, especially in recent history. Absolute masterpiece and it's tragic that they never could really recreate it. The ending to this episode is one of my favorite things ever, especially since they said they modeled the ending footage of the villain off the infamous Patterson Bigfoot footage.

This thread is so loaded with great content and opinions that I lose track of who suggested it, but we started the The Night Manager or whatever it's called. Loki is actually better as the character he plays. I don't hate it so far.

Precursor to White Lotus season 2 and has some Talented Mr Ripley in it as well. We are happily consuming this show.

Talented Mr. Ripley. Another great one. PSH was money in that as Freddie Miles. Gold, Jerry. Gold.

You nailed it. I remember that too.

Again, anyone that wants to recreate that vibe has to go straight to a theater budget.

Netflix churns out shit that's the equivalent of a hand job compared to that IP.
