The Amateur. A modern day Three Days of the Condor. Decent movie

2001 A Space Travesty. Only watched this to fill time. An “Airplane-esque” like movie with Leslie Nielsen. A big turd sandwich. But the female actress is smoking hott.

Train Dreams. Kind of slow film about a logger and his life.

The Tank. A guy and his family inherit a long-forgotten property with some big ass salamander monsters on it. A little bit like the Descent and Quiet Place.
Love and Other Drugs. Jake Gyllenhall and Anne Hathaway. Some Anne Hathaway boobs.

Train Dreams was pretty solid except for the shot when he ventured to Spokane in front of the Davenport Hotel with the Seafirst Building towering in the background circa 1969.
The Seafirst Building wasn't built until 1980.
Shoutout to the Empire Theater in downtown Tekoa, WA

Train Dreams was amazing outside of the fact that the message of how TUFF you had to be back then was dampened by the Netflix tinge of "See how racist and sexist everybody was back then!!!"
I had to look up the scene where the Asian guy gets thrown off the bridge. Almost no context just 'see how racist this is' slop.

Spent three months in Spokane in 1980 carpeting that bitch as an actual installer. 3 of us did 20 floors and got high and drunk every night
Youth
Also discovered AC DC early albums in a record store there. Not released in America
And of course got arrested for drunk and disorderly
Good times

National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze. An early 2000’s teen sex comedy with lots of actors from the 90’s. Topanga. Sherminator. The red head kid from Sandlot. Some boobs but not from anyone of the main cast. Basically a movie where things get taken wrong and people chase after each other.

In an airplane yesterday:
In Bruges - Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes - dark comedy. Rather enjoyed it.
30 for 30 on Stuart Scott - nice to look back on his career. A little too woe-is-me/we shall overcome'ish but it's ESPN so what do you expect these days?

You were "youth" in 1980?
I thought were born in the late 1800's.
Hardy har another knee-slapping joke about how fucking old Race is!

Got about 2/3 of the way through Jurassic Whatever the fuck with Scarlett Jo.
That scene with the 🦖 going after them in the blowup raft...wow. I don't exactly hate the movie but that scene specifically felt like drunk prompting if not parody.

In Bruges is good.

Dorm Daze 2. Not in a dorm, but on a cruise ship. Topanga, Shermanator from American Pie, and Jimmy from Sorority Boys are still in it. The retard from LA Law and the guy from the Nanny. Lots more boobs, but not Topanga's. Pretty bad. Only watch if you are a completist like me and must watch the whole series of things
28 Days Later. Decided to rewatch all of these again in order so started this one last night.

Scarlett can sit on my Jo any time
Absolutely, but her super tight hairstyle kind of bugged me.
She also should have got a tip from Alicia Vikander from Tomb Raider: go for slender but toned, she's kind of riding up to straight buff in this.

Whoa.
Is This Thing On looks like a great throwback R-Rated comedy.
Very intrigued.

Better Off Dead. Hadn’t really sat down and watched it since the mid 80s. Great flick. Glad to see the actors at some Comic-Con a few mo this ago being there to relive it.

Scarface. Wasn’t as good as i remember and kind of campy now.

Just watched Tron Ares. It was great. Light. Lots of action. Shout out to @Laocoön and Depeche Mode references. The now tron trilogy is solid IMO. Trent reznor did soundtrack and kept a lot of the hallmarks of the Tron Legacy Daft Punk sound track with a more edgy twist.

Been awhile since I visited/started this thread…

Not much on any new movies in a while. Too much woke shit. Trying to push a norm that’s not norm, imo.

But TOP GUN Maverick wasnt bad.
