Last Movie Seen

Car Wash
It was on HBO every other day in 1977. Never saw despite it being PG but we always heard it was more adult humor The humor probably would have gone over my head as an 8 year old anyway.

I watched every south park movie on Thursday. The two about Covid were fitting. It made me realize how fucking soft we’ve become as a society. Generations raised on this horrible shit are now the Karen’s of the world.

Also watched team America, another horrible movie.

a very enjoyable movie watching day for me.

I laugh like a donkey at Team America every time. I'll never outgrow that one.

Recuperating from septoplasty so no better time to binge some flicks I had never seen

Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai. Lots of people in this that are still around today. But shitty movie.

The Mecahnic. Charles Bronson and Jan Michael Vincent. Not much dialogue, but decent enough Bronson movie.

Oppenheimer.
During the 3 hours of needless black/white shots and other ridiculous directing choices by Christopher Nolan, I kept wondering why the fuck we need to plug Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr into movies like this. I mean, why? They're just a distraction at this point. Do I need to see Matt Damon to know, "Oh, this General must have played a really important minor role in this, I better pay attention!"
Or Florence Pugh playing the mistress? Fucking WHY?
Even Emily Blunt, who I think is probably the hottest actress in Hollywood, didn't need to be the alcoholic wife with just a few lines slurring at the US officials trying to ruin Oppenheimer's credibility.
This was not even close to the "best movie of the year" like I was promised.

Aquaman. Enjoyed it. Unlike a Marvel movie where the characters are all getting acquainted. This was straight on super her movie.

Pope of Greenwich Village. It was alright. Eric Robert’s got a little annoying. Kind of like Of Mice and Men but located in NYC. And I always enjoy a movie where they show NYC all gritty

Hitman

Based on Alex Garland's movies since Ex Machina and the timing of its debut in an election year, there is a 0% chance that Civil War won't be a massive flaming pile of shit film.
