On a whim we spent $65/each for some cheap seats to go ZZ Top at Winstar in Thackerville, OK. There isn't a bad seat in the place. Parking is free and its easy to get in and out of. First time ever seeing ZZ Top. Very old crowd. Lots of people on hover rounds/Larks. No Frank Beard which was lame. Billy Gibbons is looking feeble, like is legs must be toothpicks. They played most of the hits in about 80 minutes. There were three other songs I would rather have than 8,9, 14.

Hover rounds/Larks? I don't know what this means.

One of the hard things about living in BFE Oregon is we have no big acts in the winter time as the indoor venues are quite small.

Hayden Homes amphitheater on the Deschutes is similar size to the Gorge and draws some bigger names from May to Sep.

Saw the Black Keys there last summer. I don't like their post 2005 stuff very much so wasn't super into it.
I say Jerry Seinfeld there last year.
