We saw Nine Inch Nails at the sold-out Moody Center in Austin last night.

Holy smokes, Trent Rezner can still bring it. Imagine a NIN track, but 2-3x more of everything. My chest was absorbing violent sound waves all night. Don't go if you're epileptic. The lights were also unlike anything I've ever seen.

Highly recommend seeing them live if you get the chance.

One of the few photos that wasn't washed out by flashing lights:

Last concert was a music festival headlined by Chris Stapleton in 2024.

Last non festival was the Foo Fighters at Wrigley in 2018.

Seen a few small shows and cover bands recently.

Foo in Wrigley, holy shit!
Had a chance to go back the next night with another group of friends but I was exhausted after 1 night.

I talked to some people that were huge music fans - the wife was wearing an Easy Street Records shirt here in Kentucky. They loved Pearl Jam to the point they’d see them 2-3 nights/shows in a row. Said the best thing about PJ was they never played the same setlist. Just played what they felt like playing.

Last show I attended was My Chemical Romance at T-Mobile last summer. They put on a great show and the sound at T-Mobile was surprisingly decent. Much better than Lumen.

David Lee Roth back in August of 2025 at Lucas Oil Live in Thackerville, OK.
He wasn't as bad as I thought or previous videos that had leaked of him butchering VH classics. And he didn't play any solo stuff. He came right out at 8pm and did his thing.

One of the hard things about living in BFE Oregon is we have no big acts in the winter time as the indoor venues are quite small.

Hayden Homes amphitheater on the Deschutes is similar size to the Gorge and draws some bigger names from May to Sep.

Saw the Black Keys there last summer. I don't like their post 2005 stuff very much so wasn't super into it.

Small price to pay for living in white Wakanda. But I feel you.

Black Keys and Cake are 2 of the bands I’ve never seen that I still want to see but I’m also fat and lazy and not going too far out of my way to see them.

Never been a FAN of “concerts”. Too many folks I don’t know and even more IDGAF about.

Rather hear them on the radio or stereo or watch on some platform. I’m good not rubbing elbows with strangers. But that’s just me.

I will put them on high volume, on the radio or stereo, on my radio on the SANDBAR on the river or from my high powered stereo on the back of my boat anchored up to the barrier islands or whatever, and enjoy. Fk the crowds and dipshits. IDC if theyre a mile away. I’m good. Fk em. And thanks.

In short, I’m not here to “brag” who’ve I’ve seen and have not, FK a “concert”.

Carry on…

Are you gonna run out of fastballs eventually?

Throbber fucking loves the little towns he's spent time in Mississippi.

Laurel and Oxford are the tits. Blows 90% of Washington and Oregon off the charts.

Would seriously consider retiring sun-bird like to either of those two places.

Saw Tedeschi-Trucks band at the Gorge headline but my wife and I went for Whiskey Myers the openers. Good guitar driven southern rock.
