Mission Viejo (Calif.) has one of the nation’s top defensive lines and a player we really like a lot is defensive end Lance Keneley.
The Diablos front four could be the best in the state and Keneley brings a lot of star power to the defense. At 6-5, 250 pounds, he has put on a solid 10-15 pounds from his junior season but is moving even better and looks more explosive off the snap.
He was a load to deal with against Upland, finishing with eight tackles, three quarterback sacks and two hurries. He was unblockable all night and we love the motor and relentlessness he plays with.
On the year, Keneley has 28 tackles, 12 for loss and eight sacks for the 6-0 Diablos. Throw in a 4.7 GPA off the field and Keneley has the talent and academics to play for any school in the region.
As for who’s recruiting him the hardest right now, Keneley has consistently mentioned the same four to five schools since the spring.
“The schools prioritizing me the most right now are Utah, Washington, Colorado, Arizona State and Boise State,” Keneley said. “I’m talking with several others as well and I haven’t started to cut or narrow my list right now.
