All of that was a mistake in retrospect. What was probably a bigger mistake was letting people like Hobbs run unopposed for the primary. Though she was probably promised that in exchange for carrying out certain activities prior.

I very much think Brian kemp pulled the same move in GA when he was sec of state

All these people (both sides) have so much dirt on each other by design. It’s what props up the administrative state. The great fear of outsiders is mostly that they are too clean by politician standards, thus uncontrollable.

This is the biggest issue with getting a bye in the primaries. Being forced to win the primary, makes you focused, create a platform, and makes you quick on your feet. Hobbs now has to play a seasoned campaign in the finals, and doesn’t have the skills needed to play one on one. She needs exceptions, cooperation from PBS and ASU to prop her up. And that isn’t even working. She’s a hot mess right now. She has every advantage given to her, and she’s going to fuck it up.
