Generally agreed but I would really like to make it harder for the G5 teams to slide in. I think it will always be the most exceedingly rare occurrence that one of those teams could be competitive. Like, I don't know, make a special qualification rule for those teams that mandates that any G5 team has to be ranked in the AP top 5 and have a SOS rating in the top 10. Or something.
A middling SEC or Big 10 team, hell even an underperforming ACC team, can get hot and make some noise given circumstances like key injuries early in the year and a brutal SOS or whatever. But not the G5 guys.

I feel they’re douchebags in different ways. Maybe it’s the Sark experience at UW but I’d share a plate of nachos with Lane.100%. He and Kiffin both are two of the most major douche bags in cfb. I'd say even Meat Mario is less of a douche than those two. It's a miracle that Pete ever got anything done at USC when those two clowns were there.

Just a couple months ago I publicly mused that Kiffen had maybe matured and was now a good guy as opposed to a Grade A Douche Canoe.100%. Lol. Say what you will about his game-day coaching, and there's a lot to say, but I would love to see Mario and Sark, or Kiffin for that matter, in a cage match. Especially if Mario could quit trying to be such a straight-laced, business guy douche bag and tap back into that nasty motherfucker he used to be when he was a player.
Is Miami trying to put lipstick on a pig by trying to get people to forget about two embarrassing losses by buttering up some lopsided wins? Yes, of course. No secret. Is it the sort of thing Sark would do even if there was nothing to gain by it? Yes, of course. No secret.
Dude is cementing his douche legacy more and more by the day. God I would love for Miami and Texas to both be left out and matched up in some shitty bowl, with Mario knowing that he was coaching for his life because of fucking up the playoffs.
