That's what the politicians want you to think. Read some articles by Elizabeth Nolan Brown for Reason.com (a libertarian online magazine). They don't find many underage girls or coerced women. They're just busting more consensual adults since there is a butt load of federal money tied to it.
 
If you listened to him in the 90s, he was all about the sleaze. A bit of a sports Howard Stern ripoff, but it was funny. So it's not a shock.

I mean... Sex trafficking is legitimately fucked up. Then again, it only happens because prostitution is illegal in the first place.

I have represented minors that were trafficked so I can assure you it happens.

That being said I would agree local police motivations can be clouded and some type of legalization/regulation would likely be more effective than busting dickheads.
