We have a great coach ...

This was probably true when our coaches were Keith Gilbertson, Lionel Tyrone Willingham, or Seven Win Steve Sarkisian ...

But we have a great coach that isn't an asshole ...

Let the assholes go somewhere else.

And if all goes right, Petersen will be here for the next 10-15 years. By that point, you don't have Harbaugh an active coach going forward. That's my point.
 
Who cares if he is an asshole? I wouldn't care how much his vagina bleeds during games as long as he kept winning. Most of the really successful people I know are full blown assholes, it is a good trait to have as long as you can control it to a degree.

I hire assholes over doormats every fiscal year. The asshole understands they must perform or take a hike.

You don't have to be an asshole to be successful ...

To me, an asshole in the work place in a leadership position means that a) the person feels like they need to lead through intimidation and/or b) that you don't have the right people underneath the leader to be able to execute their jobs without having an asshole drilling into them every chance they get.

If you have the right people in place, you don't need to lead like that. There's a difference between firm, demanding, and an asshole.

Give me a coach that is firm and demanding every day of the week. You tend to respect those people. The assholes? They tend to have short shelf lives.
