“It meant a lot to me. I was very shocked. And pleased. I felt like I had a lot of respect for him right off the bat. Him being different, him allowing these kids of pursuits and him being interested in his players for more than just football, that is so huge to me and to our team.”

The story also noted that before Petersen got here this was basically a no-go for Kikaha.

This slow stream of Petersen anecdotes will be a small flurry in a year or two. If you care about your players off the field they will be more inclined to go that extra mile on it.

And why am I not surprised that Dude Brah basically said that football >>> education?
 
Despite what the Doogs tell you the players didn't like him at all.

They felt like he didn't genuinely care about them.

One former captain told me "besides Jake no player has stayed in contact with him after graduating".
 
It's painfully obvious that Sark is all about himself and really doesn't have any interest in anybody else once their interests don't coincide with his interests.

When you think about it that way, then it's not hard to find it far fetched that players were more than willing to let Sark have his fair share of egg on his face.
 
Dayum... you guys are sure to get an off season P12 North Championship this year. If only you had Mora, you might win the whole off season thing.
