They were happy Peterman had just called him or visited him or something but, he had his heart set on Georgia. All Peterman could do was get Skinny to withhold a public announcement to Georgia and give it more time.

No. the encounter was by chance, in public. It was a shared public moment of excitement, that's all. Then, camp started and everybody went their separate ways.
