Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show was the worst we’ve ever seen.

In my opinion it wasn't the worst but it is right up there with about 3 others. A billion people watching and they decided to put up a rapper with an under 30 fan base. Nothing wrong with that. You put on the Eagles and you lose half the crowd, no way to really win unless you mix up genre's and decades which is what I wish they would do. Turning the show into some screed about some other rapper who likes to date young women was not exactly a uniting message or up lifting in any way. The whole thing pretty much sucked.

Our daughter was home from school for the weekend and was watching the game with us. I started heading downstairs with under two minutes left in the first half.

The Throbber didn't have a fucking clue what was going on during the halftime show. The Throbber's kids were all enthralled at whether or not he was going to perform one song.
Until the NFL ditches (or the Feds arrest) Jay-Z, this is what you're going to get. The Throbber's parents probably felt the same way about Prince.

I just had no idea what was happening. He seemed fine or whatever. There was no spectacle, it wasn't a weird parade of celebrities guest appearances. Just a guy doing his normal thing, I guess. It was fine.
I'm no Lamar fan but I'm not longing for the Up With People halftime shows.

I just fast forward through it and the commercials. It's fun to complain, I guess, but I couldn't name any of his songs. No need to bother.
