Veiled insult towards Peterman?

I think it's way past veiled at this point

He's not even talking about Pete in that tweet. The "....unless they choose your school then they like it" line is clearly not about Pete. The narrative is that Pete doesn't give certain people a chance to come to UW at all, not that he treats them differently if they choose UW.

That tweet is 100% aimed at us.

I think that that's very fair ... and no question that there are way too many people on Twitter that really go way too far

I do think that there's also been a narrative on Pete that he avoids drama with over-involved parents ... for example there's no way that you'd see Pete bring in someone with a parent like LaVar Ball

True. but Gee Sr. is no LaVar Ball. Skinny’s dad exhibited more LaVar than Gee, who gets more attention because he’s a local media personality and happens to be AA

I definitely wasn't trying to say that Gee was LaVar ... there's really only one LaVar

I do wonder how much Pete wants anybody with a public forum to be calling him and his program out is really of interest to him ...

Where does Hugh's kids fall into this?

Gee hosts charity auctions and invites people to introduce themselves. LeVar was Michael Jordan’s kryptonite and developed a shoe which no poor kid can afford.

If anything, Jen should launch the current UW fan engagement director and offer Gee the job.

Georgia Texas and 3 other schools that don't matter because a top 2 doesn't sound as cool and they can help the bidding between the dawgs and horns.

Something is up that we've closed no D recruits yet - I want to think it's all about Toots.

We got a bunch of offensive recruits first the last two years as well.

Trust the process.

I'm not saying "something is up" in a bad way either. Like maybe we are encrypting Swiss bank passwords for all the coffee cups to be served.

For 2019 We had Morris, Ngalu, Kalepo, Davis, Paama, Fabiculanan, Luciano, Taj Davis, Ah You, and Zo Tuputala at this point last year, so pretty split actually.

It’s been stated all along that this class is super top heavy, hence the importance of landing your first offers. Botelho and Herbig were dropped for Bruener (lol) Phillips, Ransom & Ricks are gone, and the DL class is miserable. This is why Banks, Smalls, Botelho & Ringo have been so important.

It's not that top heavy and the defensive class is going to be excellent.

Covington, Paster, Esteen and Bruener are all going to be huge gets for us.

Hopefully we can add a Banks or Smalls to them.

Okay, of the 9 offensive recruits we signed last year 5 of them were committed by now, so 55.5% of the offensive class was in.

Of the 13 defensive recruits we signed last year, 5 of them were committed by now, so 38.4% of the defensive class was in.

We have a very strong track record of closing on defensive guys down the stretch. We don't have that same track record on the offensive side.

I'm not at all worried about the defense.
