Sounds like he's headed to Cal after being passed over for the DC job yet again at Oregon. Just needs Wazzu and Stanford to complete his passport.

Oregon fans are convinced that Tosh will be his replacement.

Once he got passed up as DC for the second time I was expecting Heyward to go to Texas. I thought they had one more assistant spot and this was the hold up. This way Texas could join Alabama and Georgia in making sure all the good West Coast recruits get an opportunity to play football in conferences that care.

Babushka from the top rope. Or whichever rope he’s y’all enough to climb up to.https://twitter.com/coach_smith/status/1352684083193597952?s=21

Texas under Sark has half of Petersen’s defensive staff when he was at UW. Meanwhile Cal has Sark’s entire defensive staff when he was at UW.

Tosh to coach secondary?

I think the thought process is DeRhyter has coached safeties before.

I think people are being wishful. JHOP is saying Tosh prefers the NFL if he remains a position coach.

Tosh is not gonna come back from the NFL to be a position coach in the Pac 12. Possibly for a DC job but thats a risky hire

Yeah, that’s what I said. Oregon paid Heyward quite a bit so there’s some
money to throw at the next coach. DeRhyter has some positional flexibility too.

I’d rather see us get someone else that doesn’t have the baggage.

That’s not how great recruiters work.
