I was listening to an interview with Michael Saylor. He was talking about the difference between living in a realm where there's no consequence to actions (proof of stake. If you're playing a video game and your character dies, you haven't paid any sort of real life price. Its ghosts and shadows), and a realm where there are irreversible consequences (proof of work. In a sense, if you fall 200 feet you will die. real world consequences).

So in this sense, if you sign a letter of intent, our society has become so cheap that we all casually accept that its tolerable and even normal to leave 10 months later. I think if you sign a letter of intent you should be bound for at least two years, maybe three. If you choose to leave there should be a price to pay. Or else, if you sign a letter of intent, there should be a contractual agreement, and if you leave after one year then maybe you forfeit some of the NIL to your first school. (10% to the Big Guy. That one's for you @PurpleThrobber). But my point is some sort of consequence.

A normal student would have had to pay some or all tuition, so there was value exchanged. Your analogy doesn't work here.

Obviously, this stinks. There's no sugar-coating the situation. Kienholz is a talented prospect, a good leader and Washington spent a lot of time evaluating him, building a relationship with him and they lost him to a 'Blue Blood' program who barely even knew he existed until midway through the season. This should be a wake up call for Husky fans to understand where UW ranks, at least currently, in the hierarchy of college football. They've always been a step away from 'Blue Blood' status, even at the peak of the program in the early 1990s, but some of the expectations from Husky Nation is a bit unrealistic at times. This should bring it back to reality

Smalls joined in 2020, so he just finished his third year. 2024 would be his fifth year
 
Still pissed at this kid. Really surprised he shunned the whole S.D connection. That shit usually plays to these types.

The fact that he fucked UW (We committed to him 100%) and left us holding our dick is bad. The fact he then came out and acted like a little fag and took underhanded totally unnecessary shots at a staff and program who had stood behind when NOGAF about him makes me actively dislike him.

Funny thing is I think we all expect him to be a possible portal guy 2024.
