Just spent the week in South Dakota. Since I was wearing a UW hat, had alot of people come up to me to talk about this kid. (by the way, it pronounced Peer, not Pierre).

Said the kid is a winner and great teammate and everybody in the town loves him. Said he has been getting training by a QB coach who is a buddy of Deboner, and the guy has been telling Deboner about him for a couple of years. Says he wouldn't recommend him if he wasn't the real deal because he wouldn't do Deboner that way. ND State really thought they had a shot at him and were pretty pissed they couldn't get him, but once UW offered, it was over. After getting a UW offer, a few other big Mid West teams came around but the coach told them don't bother, kid is not going anywhere else.

Heard alot of good things, and also lots of good stuff about KD. CSB, take it for what it's worth.

Also, you can buy fireworks anywhere there, and if you don't shoot them off in the middle of the street, it is frowned upon.

For real. I like this QB.

There's no law or limitations about fireworks where I live. I watched my GF's neighbor fire off about two months of my salary in explosives iver the course of 40 minutes or so. He set up inbthe middle of the street with 8 homes within 100 yards, in a strong wind, and showered everyone's home and yard with smoldering pieces of mortars and rockets.

I sound like I'm complaining, but aside from our dogs and dwarf goats being traumatized, it was pretty bad ass.

That looks more like some of the other neighbors. This dude had a structure made out of pallets, a whole row of maybe 12-15 homemade pvc mortar tubes, a pallet covered in fireworks in the packaging, and two tables to organize things. There were also three people with propane torches so they could light them in bunches.

I was impressed. I mean, I'd rather spend those thousands on golf clubs, fishing gear, and ammo, but it wasn't my money.

This is the truth and I'd also say that the "rankings" for qbs have proven to be completely unreliable. For every top-ranked guy like Trevor Lawerence who had a lot of success, you have 10 5-star guys like Jacob Eason who never lived up to their billing.

He throws deep and won a state title. It’s not a high completion percentage but who gives a shit. Sam Huard was throwing for 400+ almost every game and I’m pretty sure he sucks.

He also isn’t a 7 on 7 maestro, playing football year round. He’s a good athlete from a place that doesn’t put out talent. ND State has been fucking terrible at picking at developing QB’s.

Savell Smalls was a five star and wasn’t even a dominant high school player. I’m sure Kienholz has five 250+ pound monsters protecting him at OL. His #1 WR is deciding between Ohio State and Alabama.

I don't give a fuck about each school's approach. Ours is clearly out scouting for under the radar guys who aren't pussies and won't embarrass the school, and won't tap out when they think their draft stock is going to take a hit. It works at times, it fails at times.

Oregon's approach fails at times, and succeeds at times. See Texas, tamu, LSU when the wheels fell off, etc.

I like what UW is doing because you get folk heroes like Gaines. I remember him in the 2015 SC game where he's taking late shots against that pussy surfer QB ESPN and Sark were sucking off.

Getting BB was great but he dipped after 3 years and is definitely a factor in that soul crushing Stanford game if he doesn't leave early.

Both are in the NFL obviously. But Gaines factors in an extra conference championship.
