I trust the front office. As good as Kam is, he's just a player. If we ranked the most important players on the defense, he would rank 4th-6th. I think not giving in is wise. Sherman and Thomas are still in the secondary.
Maybe they are worried if Kam's health will hold up too. It's part of the NFL. They have to make tough decisions.

The front office still pays Darrell Bevell.

The front office can't give in. If they give in, 15 guys try to pull the same tactic over the next few years.
I like Kam and I get the logic since NFL players have way less security than other sports, but he's a .1 percenter. Cry me a river dude. It sounds like they're even trying to give him really easy incentive pay too.

Superbowl window is now and who knows when/if it ever opens again.
Pay him.
If he was making $1 million a year I could at least empathize, given that he's entering his prime earning years. But he's making $7 million a year. I would like to think that if I was him I would feel gratitude to be in that position and excited to be a part of this special time in Seahawks history.

Who gets endorsement $ on the Seahawks? HOw many non-qb's get it in the NFL?
Schenider's philosophy of "Keeping with the plan and not winning the Super Bowl is better than tweaking the plan and winning the Super Bowl" sounds bold in August, but not sure how it will play in January.
Thomas does a print ad for some car dealer.
Marshawn does Beacon Plumbing.
I think Sherman does some mortgage or car dealer.
