Keep hope alive

Florida wants the Tulane coach now. Clearly, they don't live in a data-informed world like @Tequilla

LSU is a top job in the nation, period. Saying otherwise is pure idiocy.
Why? I'm not arguing with you but I'm genuinely curious what's so great about LSU? I've never been to Death Valley. Maybe it's better than Oxford?

LSU is the only P4 school in a state loaded with talent.
That does make sense. Thanks. I think he could keep it going at Ole Miss and he'd be supported there but it's undeniable something has him looking for something else.

LSU’s fans are insane, and buying out Brian Kelly is going to put a dent in the budget. I think Kiffin is set up exceptionally well to have a good long run at Ole Miss. I’d stay in Oxford if I was him. Florida is a step down at this point.

Which is hilarious because they just flamed out with the G5 coach from Louisiana shtick
Covid season was weird where programs like Napier's got a bunch of exposure and he had some SICK quotes like "Scared money don't make money!"
Maybe that hire wasn't as smart but it's better than going after assistants.
Stanford's hire was bad. Cal will probably take the interim tag off of Roll because Cal's antifa students don't even know who he is.

It would be a shame to settle for a G5 coach like Petersen and DeBoer
The two best coaches since James
Ty was national coach of the year at Notre Dame and took Stanford to the Rose Bowl
Power conference guy

LSU has won it all in the last 20 years and has had some of the legit top 5 cfb teams ever in that time frame.
The state punches WAY above its population weight in producing very elite football players and the school recruits well in other big producing places like Florida and Georgia. Christ they steal elite guys out of the city of Miami routinely. Kids in the southeast want to play for LSU.
That said, Florida should be their equal (but kinda isn't).
They are a full step above Ole Miss in my estimation. Before Georgia showed up with Kirby, they were the #2 program in the SEC. They're not anymore which goes to show it is always about coaching in cfb because LSU gets the dudes.

Because football is religion there, 3 different head coaches, two of whom are retarded, have won a natty there this century. They have the most D1 talent per capita of any state in the union.

They had one team that was an all time great. There were some other good ones, but nothing that screams top 5 all time. They were never great on offense until Burrow and the WR’s.

To say that LSU is a step up from Ole Miss is an understatement. There is one program not from Tuscaloosa, AL to have won 3 natties since 2003. It's not Georgia, it's not Clemson, it's not a team from Florida, it's not Ohio State(cherry picking 2003 as Ohio State has 3 since 2002, but still). It's LSU. The fact that window lickers like Ed Orgeron and Les Miles won there tells us everything we need to know.

Is there really an argument that LSU isn't an elite job. Coach O coached an all time great team there and he actually be learning disabled.

You're nitpicking but I'll allow it. 3 natties since the turn of the century in a tuff conference. They've certainly proven to be a tough out for our? Dwags.
Hate to say it, but dtd nailed it. 3 coaches, 2 of which are retards, 3 natties.

It's an interesting juxtaposition where the "football is religion" theme can be an obvious positive in places like Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge but in other places like Texas and Nebraska it's been cause for disorganization. Also in the NHL the cities that reflect that passion haven't won a cup in decades and it often gets attributed to the pressure of playing and performing in Canadian cities being a negative
