Kamren Fabiculanan - 4* 2019 DB - Thousand Oaks (Westlake), CA (COMMITTED)

I knew that kamren would commit at this time. He knew if he wanted a spot this was the time to do it.

Other "higher rated" players may have the resume or reputation, whether real or rumored.

How many probable secondary schollies are available for the '18 year?

Four.

Four at least, probably five.

Well, that's some exciting shit then.

Criddell, turner, chase, pola gates?

I can live with those guys.

We've jumped the loser shark. We're now getting the benefit of the doubt... Plus kamfab is in California and he's active with one of the higher profile 7vs7 teams.

Dom didn't get much pub in the after high school circuit if any.

Two days ago in the Ngalu thread I said:

"Maybe Fabiculanananananananen has what Lake saw early in Dom, and his JR tape is decent and we are like cool but not blown away and the networks bury him in their rankings but then as a SR we all say wtf how is this kid ranked so low."

I'm pretty sure I saw @dnc and @Beno4Life also said something similar about Lake is the one coach you don't question.

I guess the 247 West Coast guys didn't want to wait for the SR tape and just said "Fuck it, if Jimmy 'Tha God' Lake has offered this kid, let's just bump him up. We already look stupid for Syd, King, Miller, Rapp, and more than likely Dom Hampton. Let's get ahead of Fabiculanan, and just assume that if Lake wanted him early, he's likely going to be amazing."

That said I'm sure his composite will stay a low 3 star because ESPN recruiting is garbage and they'll not have him rated at all or just a 2 star.

Composite is worthless now, might as well just use 247's rankings. I just tried to use the ESPN database and could only find a profile of Morris. No Cameron Davis, but they have a thorough profile of Aric Davison just in case you're interested.

Rivals is fine I guess, but they rate their players on a scale of 5-6.1 so they can go fuck themselves.

I am really impressed with his stars

His stars are so big and juicy.

In all seriousness, I think it was Biggins who said that 247 is having a big meeting in May to make some changes about how they display their ratings. I'm guessing the composite thing becomes a secondary rating rather than the main thing. There can't possibly be another school that has a bigger deviation between 247 and composite than UW. On composite, we have 1 4-star, on 247 we have 5 (plus Luciano who will be a 4 star once JCs are updated)

Barton Simmons, Director of Scouting for 247:

"Kamren Fabiculanan, CB, Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake – It’s fitting that Fabiculanan is committed to Washington because he’s reminiscent of some of the bigger corners that have excelled there like Sidney Jones and Kevin King. He’s developed steadily over the last year and his trajectory looks NFLish. He’s now a four-star prospect."

Fuck it. If he's a 4 star or a 40 star prospect ... just run with it. The more stars the better. We all know Coach Pete's philosophy isn't going to change ... he's going to recruit the same general way he's done it ... if it raises the profile of the school and program then all the better. That's just part and parcel of recruiting.
