Apparently runs a 4.47 40. But looks pretty raw overall, could get a solid player given the right coaching.

Well yeah I think that's it. Those tea leaves aren't very difficult to read.

Also he went to Etiwanda along with Mike Neal. I'm sure that helped a little bit in making him feel like UW is a comfortable landing spot on short notice.

Coaches were probably recruiting him but didn't have an offer to give until Dwayne Washington declared for the NFL.
