Damn, we couldn’t even get in the Top 12 for him after winning 2/3 of the last Pac 12 Championships, having TWO players a year older than him from Upland coming to UW, and having a LB be a first team All American and DPOY in the Pac 12 last year.

What the fuck are we doing, fire everyone. Shocked he didn’t want to go fly fishing with Bobby Greggy, just shocked.

Like I honestly don’t understand what happened. Flowe is a fucking beast, did we just stop recruiting him because he punched that fat dumb lineman in the face in the playoffs last year? Well we had already offered based on our super scientific OKG bullshit and they vet everyone!!! before getting an offer so I fucking hope not.

Did we drop him because he wants a bag? (Total doog theory but look at the schools in his top 12). Well we offered so we must not have been that concerned.

Did he hate the Seattle weather so much he said no way?

Nope, it’s probably because Bobby Greggy is a middle aged white doofus who can’t recruit for shit. Sirmon has connections to Pete through his Dad, Tafisi was a poly fam connect which has nothing to do with Greggy, Miki Ah You same, Hemuli same, Calvert we got luckily because the LA schools fucked up so bad his family just said fuck it your going to play for Pete, nothing to do with Greggy.

Who the fuck has this guy been the plus recruiter on? Anyone??? Fuck Greggy, I get it he’s a good coach, but there are a lot of good young coaches who can coach AND recruit. Fuck me.

He's going to Bama or Georgia. I respect the coaches for not wasting their time recruiting a kid who's not interested. We just brought in a big haul of ILB's this past class. Might only take one ILB this class. That guy is probably Nick Herbig who loves Gregory. Then the following cycle you're looking at possibly three ILB's in Ethan Calvert, Julien Simon, and Will Latu. We're in good shape and recruiting at the level we should be. We don't deserve an out-of-state recruit the caliber of Justin Flowe until we actually win a NY6 bowl game. If Oregon and USC want to waste their time recruiting him that's fine. He's not staying out West.

Nepotism is a useful tool if the player you want is really good. See Huard, Sam. But if you don't want the player then you shouldn't force nepotism.

Meanwhile, Oregon definitely wanted Elijah Molden

Definitely didn’t think we’d sign him, but I pretty much assume we’ll make the top 10+ list for any West coast kid we are after. On the bright side you know we’ve made it when we’re embarrassed USC is on any recruit’s top whatever list and we’re not.

Nepotism? Who cares where dad played. He was an All-American, a National Champion, a first round draft pick, and had a 14-year NFL career. Bloodlines matter. See, e.g., Molden, Elijah; Irvin, Julius.

And our previous MLB was an undersized, -5 star white dude who was coached and developed up into a massive tackling machine that may actually be drafted before round 5...

Flowe plus Savell with this line and secondary is a defense that can beat Bama/Clemson...
 
Clearly there's a reason we didn't target him. I highly doubt it has anything to do with Gregory. Relax. Get Bothelo, Herbig, and _________ and we good.

I don’t disagree with the sentiment that we should be in his top 12, but we have known for awhile he’s not coming here. The outrage now is kind of dumb. We moved on awhile ago.

@TTJ, the bloodlines argument is kind of dumb. It has some merit, but there are also tons of guys who have had dad’s who played professionally that were not any good.

That’s not the case with Bruener. He’s a solid prospect, but the only reason we should offer him is if he’s the best we can do at his position.
