Just read the saddest thing I've ever seen

The dawgman crowd has finally reached a level of Doog that there is no returning from.

I'll paraphrase:

A poster started a thread where he talked about meeting an Oregon fan (pumping his gas, of course, #lolstupidducks) Apparently the gas attendant was making remarks about his W sticker and a series of plunger rapings that have happened over the last decade. Luckily our hero had a copy of the US News University Rankings handy and was able to put this arrogant duck in his place by showing that Oregon is not on the list of top 100 universities for academics. The follow up comments showing affirmation of the superb way he handled the situation were equally sad.

Please take a moment with me to cry for Husky Football

The war is over. These guys won...

The thread has gone beyond pathetic since I last posted. Now we're getting comments like "I could care less about how my football team does. The UW education is worth more than winning football games"

I had to read the thread after seeing this, and I'm not surprised at a lot of the reactions.

ZTang (the same guy who says 58-42-5 is all that matters) says he played the UW fightsong and chanted, "Pump my gas" each time he had to stop for gas in Oregon. I really wish the gas station attendent would have doused his car with the gas and lit the car on fire.

Want to hear something worse? Listen at the 29 minute mark to this bullshit:
http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=9505512

Sark plays the 0-12 card, three consecutive bowl games card, Gameday Championship card, and "we were a 9-4 football team" card all in the same answer to one question.

Fire. Sark. Now.
I love that from Maisel. "I'm flabbergasted that you have been at UW as long as you have."

Then Sark responds by saying that the end result basically doesn't matter. It's the "body of work" and the "journey".

I was trying to figure out if Maisel thought UW should have fired Sark by now or if he thinks Sark would have moved on by now.

I think he just meant it seems like the time has gone by really quickly, like it doesn't feel like he's been here four years.

Of course, if Maisel were a Husky fan who gave a shit, it would feel like he's been here an eternity.

Me too....after listening closely I think he thinks Sark would have moved on because he says the only thing the same (over the past 3 years) is the record.

Maisel is a fucking clueless then because the advanced metrics show we've been the same for the past 3 years and in most cases the past 4.

Meh I took it as Maisel saying everything else has changed. Of those three 7-6 years one had a great offense and terrible defense, one had a very good defense and very bad offense, and one had Jack Lockner. The overall quality of each of the teams was frighteningly similar, but the various components were all over the place.

Me too. It seemed like a tongue-in-cheek jab to me, but then again, I would not be surprised if he really thinks that Sark should be on to "bigger" things. He does work for ESPN, you know.

I remember applauding Sark the first few years cause he never brought up 0-12 and claimed we can turn this around quickly. Now I noticed he has brought up 0-12 a lot in the past year just like Ty towards the end kept bringing up 1-10.

I seriously can't wrap my head around how Doogs still defend this guy. Like sven said so many of our fans really deserve another 0-12 then to die in a fire.

Seeing how he works for ESPN he's probably "surprised" that Sark hasn't been in the NFL yet. For some reason all those idiots still think of Sark has someone who is worth a shit.
