They've got about three weeks to convince him - it's going to be a bit of an uphill battle, but they could do it. I have no idea what to predict here.

I think the truth is - he's always wanted to go to USC, but they have always viewed him as a backup plan.

He knows we want him and knows he would be good here, but he doesn't want to play for a team that is a nothingburger.

It's fun watching this unfold because once USC started recruiting him seriously I never expected UW to have a chance. This kid is super drama. Can't make up his mind. It's going to come down to Singing Day and whoever he feels the best about on that day. Glad DB is not a big need for us. If we get him it's just a huge bonus. If not it's whatever.

So likely just passing on the safety for this class. Very disappointing. Still love the class as a whole obviously; would have been nice to finish it off with a few more legit, high level prospects.

We are the safe choice for Irvin ... he knows he will do well here but we don’t excite him. We’re the girl that he can fuck anytime, will give him anything but anal so far.

Biggins is saying Irvin was ready to commit to USC, then heard the Lake news and UW instantly became his leader. Then Bama offered and now everything is up on the air.
 
Going out on a limb, I think Lake reels him in. It’s a battle UW should win. If he’s pissed SC never really gave him the attention he seeked early on, don’t see how Bama rolls in last minute and steals him. But, these are 17-18 year old kids, so things change all the time and I wouldn’t be surprised if he chooses Bama.
