You apologized for all the program’s shortcomings throughout Sark and Petersen years 1-3 then you got tough in 2016.

So if you are calling for a bottoming out so the program can make wholesale changes then we must be on track for a good year.
 
If it’s true that they “passed” on Simon and passed on Ortiz... they’ve clearly misjudged the situation with FSP. Is that better than just flat out missing on them? Idk... Ortiz should’ve been a take too.

this falls on both Bobby G and Jimmy Lake. He should have known entrusting Bobby Gregory with LB recruiting could backfire. Lake should have known when Gregory wanted simon to play RB this could end badly. I just don't understand how Lake could keep gregory and KB on staff. They are worthless on the recruiting trail while everyone else is leveling up

Should’ve just predicted this pandemic and fired them without replacements to help fund the athletic program. Doubt it would change much recruiting wise.

It all goes back to the Gee Scott mess. That set the whole trajectory for in-state recruiting on a nose-dive. Recruiting is about marketing and relationships, you lose control over the narrative and it’s super difficult to turn that around.

Let me play devil’s advocate here:

Thomas Ford is on the UW coaching staff and is probably an assistant in waiting to replace KB, who is only still here because Jen wouldn’t approve the buyouts.

UW’s relationship with FSP isn’t any different. They’re hyping up their guy who committed to a big name school. They aren’t going to be pushing kids away from UW
