He was retained because we needed a Poly coach on staff. Pete offered the position to Marques and MT, in all his wisdom, followed Sark to USC.
He's not some fucking magician. He's just some random doucher. He's not bad enough to get fired because we never need to recruit anyone who is that hard to get (he won't get them if they are) and he's a good enough coach to hang around.
How bad of a coach do you have to be to fuck up coaching in Pete's system? Only Pease has gotten fired for coaching and he was just arrogant.
Hey, Jude will be in South Bend this weekend for Junior day so I will try to get some updates.
What I know so far:
ND had a Junior day last month with a lot more recruits, this one is smaller with a lot more individual time with recruits attending.
Jude told us he honestly doesn’t know anything about ND, so he is really excited about seeing it & learning about it. I found this interesting because he named ND “at the top” of his list with no knowledge? This weekend could blow him away.
On the opposite side is the thing we refer to as the “ND offer affect.” This is what happens when a 3 Star kid with regional offers gets an ND offer which then opens up his national recruitment. Then neither ND or the local schools get him. This is what is currently happening with Jude. He told us he never saw himself leaving the West Coast, and being a local recruit. Then ND offered & he decided to travel. Then UF offered. Then Bama offered. Now he is a national recruit. If ND doesn’t lock him up this weekend he won’t be going there. He told us he wants to commit this summer.
After this weekend I will give my prediction. But here’s my thought process:
If he verbals to ND that shows me he is willing to leave the West Coast but probably ends up at Bama or UF. If not, then it’s a West Coast battle, with Bama always the wild card (ND out of it).

"I actually thought Washington might be the team to beat for Jude but heard from a Bosco coach yesterday that he might not have a committable offer right now. If true, USC has a great shot and could be the team to beat. ND and Oregon are also involved."
In my effort to over analyze everything, this tells me the coaches feel really good about Foskey and his visit last month. Perhaps Tuli is locking him up for us?.

This also could be a case of people being confused as to what a 'committable offer' means in Coach Pete speak. If Jude was all UW and done taking visits I think they'd let him commit.
