I obviously don't watch every Ohio State game but that seems outrageous. His stats outside of that game are minuscule.
Cue the...but he affects plays and doesn't get stats crowd. Great players affect plays AND make plays.

Come on, there's still a chance he comes to UW and gets 7.5 sacks in two seasons. Not even dooging Martin and Trice are fucking better than him which is hilarious it just sucks Martin is for sure gone and Trice seems like he could be.

At the time of Clifford’s commitment, John Donovan was Penn State’s offensive coordinator. Donovan was fired in November 2015 and since then has worked for the Jacksonville Jaguars as an offensive assistant (2016-2019), the Washington Huskies as the offensive coordinator (2020-2021) and the Green Bay Packers, where he currently serves as an analyst.

Has JTT played well all season? I don’t watch Ohio State except against Michigan. I watched the highlight clips against Penn State, and I hate to sound dogfish, but I was a little underwhelmed.
The two interceptions were great place. Absolutely give him that. The first deflection he was left on blocked. Any DE makes that play, it’s on the QB for not sliding and creating a throwing lane. The tackle for loss I saw he got no pressure on a pass rush, but deflection back into the QBs hands caused him to fall on the guy behind the line of scrimmage.
The strip sack was a good rush, but it was also against the second string right tackle, not very good left tackle. The other sack was against the tight end coming all the way across the formation in a pretty stupid blocking concept. In fact, the Seahawks tried to do the same against the Rams on Sunday and also failed miserably be because it’s stupid. I mean, it’s also not worth a lot if you’re just beating the tight end, but beating a tight end who has the cross the whole field just to get to you? That’s like giving a 275 pound defensive end credit for beating the running back staying in to block.
But he certainly showed a good motor and good situational awareness, so maybe it will lead to more consistency next year.

I respect your Doog and will go one further and say Trice and Martin were both better than him this year (though they've both in cfb longer). Interesting to watch him this year. I feel like A lot of the time the big recruit guys pop in their third years, though that might be old hat.
