Giving Jimmy Lake the benefit of the doubt until after a normal full year of coaching and recruiting. He seems to be bringing in players with a tougher mentality on offense and team did surprisingly well until the Stanford game last year when players go sick. I assume he is making the adjustments for a better year which will lead to better recruiting.

It's also over-the-top excitement for anything that is currently happening in the program, regardless of what it is. Kick ass pressers, FREE PUB!, incremental progress, best recruiter in the nation, best assistants in the nation, molder of men, five tough questions, no rap music at practice, rap music at practice, finally a coach with discipline, finally players coach, Gilby/Ty/Sark is a breath of fresh air....

All this. I cannot forget that MAC programs with maybe 25% the resources of even WSU played 10-12 games, and did just fine. They did it because football was important to them.

I completely agree with you. Something miraculous would have to happen for him to not pick Ohio St. But, it's like buying a $300 million Mega Millions lotto ticket and fantasizing what it would be like if you won.

That's the real issue. Jimmy probably sucks because most coaches do but if he doesn't suck we still have the administration that sucks and hates winning and winners

Jimmy can only succeed here by sucking. If he doesn't suck he leaves or gets fired.

Ohio State fans, who manage to make most of the people here seem reasonable and likable, think that being in a HUGE CITY like Columbus is a difference maker. Playing in the 35th biggest metropolitan area in the US provides opportunities JTT could only dream of in backwaters like LA or Seattle.
