JT Tuimoloau, 5* 2021 DL, Bellevue (Eastside Catholic), WA (Offered 9/22/17)

Yet Ohio State remains in the running for Tywone Malone, another DT out of New Jersey. With one spot remaining on the defensive line, it may be a case of first-come, first-served for Malone and Tuimoloau.

This is a bad take. They have a spot for JTT if he wants it. No school is saying no to JTT.

His entire premise is wrong. When was the last time a blue blood turned down a top 5 player because they were “full”? This is the big boys we’re talking about. They’d boot a lower rated recruit or Romar math a 4th string player in no time if needed.

This is not your grandfather’s “Sports Illustrated.” The school specific sites are more or less SBNation pages now. I think he used to be a PI sports writer but still...

By the time he commits to UW he will be 20th ranked lol

That's usually how it goes, at least on 247sports.

Just look at JTT's ranking history:

When he was considered a strong Alabama lean, they had him at #1 overall.
When he was considered a strong Washington lean, he dropped to 8th and 9th.
When he started to consider OSU, he went back up to 4th, and when he was thought to be a strong OSU lean, he climbed up to #2.

When was he ever a strong Washington lean?

Well, i'm going off of what they were predicting on 247sports. When he dropped to 8/9, they had him as 80-100% to Washington.

I remember my caring about recruiting phase.

UW will always be the underachieving program where fans think they are a blue blood while the rest of the country laughs at them.

Just fucking kill it.

Only if you were a member of the commit chat

A real Reggie Rogers type. Rogers was recruited for basketball and Harshman wasn't real thrilled when James got him. He was really good at basketball and great at football. Had some struggles with life
