JT Tuimoloau, 5* 2021 DL, Bellevue (Eastside Catholic), WA (Offered 9/22/17)

Per Fong
Ohio State holds the 247Sports Crystal Ball advantage for the 6-foot-4, 277-pound Tuimoloau, who also has a keen eye on the likes of Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC. Player development and NFL Draft potential appear to be the two biggest factors for Tuimoloau regarding his college decision and what the Buckeyes have been able to do with the likes of Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa and most recently Chase Young[/b] has Tuimoloau thinking Columbus may be the biggest guarantee to be a Top10 pick regarding his own future.

The other schools mentioned are pushing hard and Tuimoloau is expected to take his process all the way to the finish line in February.

is JT going to be a DE?

He’s a DT, but I bet he’s being told he will play DE. And he might for a year until he moves inside for a starting role.

That has nothing to do with it

The recruiting message is a mix of 1) can you win a national championship at this school and 2) track record of producing highly drafted DL

People recruiting against Washington here have done a good job of proving that you can't win a National Championship at Washington (each school ahead of UW has a good argument to make as to why they are a better option to win a Natty) and stronger track record of developing high end players (could argue that Oklahoma doesn't on the DL but I don't think that they are a huge contender)

Agree. Wasn’t saying that is the reason he might not come to UW. At the same time, they are telling him he can be the next Chase Young or Bosa bro. Still not sold he’s leaving tho.

I would start lowering expectations

DPOTD!

Is it? Or is it being realistic about what reality is right now?

You have know idea the damage owen12 did!

It wasn’t the Owen12 that did the damage, it was the decade of futility, which included the 1-10, 2-9, 5-7, 4-9 that did the damage. The Owen12 was the year that fans and Seattle media got the balls to be critical of their beloved football team.

It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if uw went 5-7 instead of 0-12, would Ty have been retained, because that record was better or equivalent to the last 5 years.

I hope he sucks wherever he goes. Tired of this shit.
He’s coming here so fuck off

I wanna Doog so bad. I’m not as confident as you, but I know it’s gonna be hard for him to leave. Most the intel is bullshit. He’s not going to Oregon. He’s going to UW or Ohio State.

I thought this until about a month ago. The Oregon coaching staff has made a ton of progress on JTT. If it’s not Ohio State, I’m thinking it’s Oregon. Oregon is getting commits while the land around them is burning to the ground. They just work harder.

The Washington staff is still trying to plan visits for 2021 at this point. In the meantime the Oregon staff is like “What Covid”?

Lol. Why wouldn’t he consider Oregon?

He would consider Oregon. But not over Ohio State.

Don't jerk yourself off just yet.

He’ll consider Oregon. Butt the reality is Oregon has never come into Washington and taken a kid we want when we are competitive (Unless we screwed over his cousin in the 60s maybe).

Maybe JTT becomes the first.

Butt until it happens I’m going to continue to believe it’s not going to happen.
