"Washington has been the main other one besides Ohio State that hits me up all the time," said Tuimoloau. "Everyone there. Coach Pete, Coach PK (Pete Kwiatkowski), Coach Ikaika. All of them are pretty equal, but I'd say Coach Pete the most."

Ohio State, though, has been ramping it up with Tuimoloau, especially since his teammate, Gee Scott, committed to the Buckeyes.

"I talk to Ohio State a lot," said Tuimoloau. "When I was in school, they came by (in January) and then in the spring, Coach (Brian) Hartline came out. I've talked to Coach (Ryan) Day and Coach (Larry) Johnson, but it's been mostly Coach Hartline who's been recruiting me."

But he's not the only one.

"And Gee too," said Tuimoloau. "Like every day."

Love that Pete is taking ownership over the #1 recruit in the country.
 
this is a trickier time ... having Gee jr around is a distraction and the way things have shaped up it looks like 100% Ohio State - which means Gee Jr is the enemy and not a friend. Or at least a superficial friend until the process is over.

the way they offered Gee Jr to kinda smooth over the best they could a smoldering situation ... is not going to disappear until the recruiting cycle is finally finished.

Peterman needs to suck it up and stay front and center, balance all the competing interests ... until recruiting is all done and the signature is signed.

J.T. and his dad would arrive at Todd Beamer High School and wouldn’t leave for hours, running laps, stairs and the like. But that’s all they did — Mom didn’t allow J.T. to pick up a weight until he turned 16, which he did earlier this year.

Only a few months in, Tuimoloau lifts with such enthusiastic abandon; he hasn’t bothered to count his reps.

“I just go until it gets too heavy,” he said with a grin.

A far cry from the grade schooler who was nearly cut from his travel basketball team for being out of shape.

Jesus Fucking Christ. This kid only started lifting weights a few months ago yet is the #1 prospect in the country with grown man strength and explosion just from natural gifts.

He's going to be a monster.

He once said he wanted to attend Stanford and be a doctor. Now he’s got an offer from Stanford, but has his eyes set on another backup plan to the NFL.

“I either want to be a chef or a doctor,” he said. “I really like making desserts, but I’ve got to stay away from it because I can’t be a sweet tooth.”

Tuimoloau was a problem all night for Pinnacle and he unquestionably got the better of offensive lineman Tosh Baker in their much anticipated matchup. Tuimoloau had three tackles for loss, a sack, five pass breakups and six hurries on the night and was constantly bringing pressure to J.D. Johnson. In fact, there was some double and triple teaming going on with Tuimoloau just to give Johnson time to throw. And to seal the game, Tuimoloau crushed a Pinnacle ball-carrier on the final play when the Pioneers tried a miraculous last play, with Tuimoloau jarring the ball loose. Between this game and his five-sack performance against Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial a year ago, Tuimoloau has been a thorn in the side of Arizona prep teams. Have the coaches told JT that he may not see the field until his RS-FR Year and may not start until midway of his Jr year? If he is cool with that, then he I say he is 50/50 of being Dawg!!
