Josh Conerly, 2022 5* OL, Seattle (Rainier Beach), WA (Offered)

I've heard a few interviews with the players this year and they have consistently said they aren't paying much attention to NIL stuff this year. These are the McDuffies and such. I think if you're talking about an NFL quality player they're going to care less about NIL than you might think because they have extra zeros in they're future.

Recruiting is a shitshow right now, but in this case I would not get worked up unless the team shits the bed on the field this season.

Conerly is a silent commit is what I'm hearing. Announcing on signing day. Still trying to get more info on other RB kids.

I actually forgot this was the Conerly recruitment thread. Fhanknyou.

When was the last time that a highly recruited (4 or 5 star) local kid waited until signing day to announce his commitment to uw?

Short memory? JTT waited until signing day to commit to UW.

Then waited several more months to commit to tOSU.

Did I miss you guys celebrating that for a few months?! Sorry if I did.

Pete didn't like kids waiting to announce their commitments, so they didn't.

Looks like Jimmy has a different approach.

ATBS (JBSS!), Kyler Gordon is the answer to your querey.

Kyler Gordon committed on the early signing period, not NLISD.

Nobody said Conerly is committing on the February signing day.

The early signing day is signing day now. Hardly anybody signs in February anymore.

i'll be honest ... fuck off with that doog shit.

- players not like mcduffie don't have what it takes to care about the nil
- "NFL quality" players like mcduffie have absolutely no guarantee about the future or extra fucking zeros. GTFO with that shit. How many "NFL quality" player never even get out of college much less pan out in college? Stop with that rosy bullshit.
- anybody with half a brain knows that front end loaded deals/cash money in enticing as hell because there are no guarantees for the future. If Ben Olson knew he was going to bust out bigtime he would have taken the money first and try at college football later.
- lastly, anyone interviewed will give you that diplomatic bullshit, don't be taken for a fool. You think mcduffie is gonna say "yeah, if I had a shot at 350k nil at a decent school not UW I would have probably taken it ... because i'm so confident about my skills and abilities (they all are) that I think I could develop and get into the NFL anyways ... and have 350k in my pocket ..."

If only I wasn't too cheap for the tug. I actually have legitimate info on when he might announce.
