Ngata said while his brother, Ariel, a linebacker at Washington did some recruiting of him, he was more impacted by a decision the year before, when Jonah Williams, a former Folsom lineman, committed to Alabama.

"I actually talked to Jonah a little bit," said Ngata. "He wasn't scared to go to take his talents to Alabama. He wasn't caged up to staying on the West Coast. So I would say his decision had a little of an impact on me."

Ngata said Ariel would mention Washington from time to time, but ultimately, he encouraged his brother to choose the school that fit him best.

"My brother never really told me to come where he was at, he never told me to come to a certain school," said Ngata. "He said to go to the school that first me the best. My parents understood that. He knew Washington was the best for him and Clemson for me."

With their younger brother, Daniyel Ngata, a Top247 prospect in the 2020 class, could the two brothers then turn to recruiters?

"Daniyel will do his own thing," said Ngata. "But it wouldn't hurt him to go to either place."
 
Like I've been saying- every west coast recruit that leaves for an Alabama or a Clemson causes a ripple effect making it easier for future recruits to do the same.

So you would rather have the best QB in the nation at Oregon so that UW MIGHT have a better shot at landing future West coast recruits with national offers? Disa-fucking-gree. If UW doesn't get a guy they want it's better when he leaves the West coast and UW doesn't have to compete against him. I want UW to be the Clemson of the West. The one elite team in a shit conference that everybody ignores is in a shit conference because they actually win on the big stage. That's where we are headed if USC keeps fucking up on the field and in recruiting.

unfortunately, the trend will only get worse. With the way ESPN pimps Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, and a few others (ND, Michigan, Penn State), the only recruits that are both highly rates and are willing to head west are going to continue to be the handful of 4.0 GPAs that want to go to Stanford.

Yes because UW's national title equity is approximately 0.0% between 2017-2019 with Tua at Alabama.

If he was at Oregon he would be wasted on mediocre teams.
